1．General Introduction to CCMS

Unique Studio, founded in June, 2000, is a civil student team with teamwork and creation as its core spirit. At the very beginning, the team had 13 members from Grade 1998 of Mechanical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Since its inception, the team has adhered to the principle of openness, taking in elite talents from different departments and colleges of HUST, such as School of Physics, Department of Electronics, College of Optoelectronics, College of Computer Science, College of Software, College of Environmental Sciences and Mechanical College, to form an elite team with multi-culture. Now the team has some 50 members after 8 years of development.

The recruiting strategy of putting quality before quantity, indomitable determination to survive, non-conventional development thinking, positive team spirit, pragmatic work style, independent domestic and foreign policy, free and open learning atmosphere, various communication mechanism form the culture of Unique Studio.

Team Goals

The short-term goal is for those students who have the potential, are always willing to work, and have passion to build a first-class environment, so that they can grow quickly, and on this basis to guide them to plan their university life as well as future career;

The long-term goal is to build a platform to let everyone going out of Unique Studio integrate their respective strengths and resources through this platform, and to enable everyone to become a talent who can work independently.

Contest Results

The team has been focusing on Microsoft technologies over the years, and started in 2005 to participate in the Imagine Cup Global Student Competition organized by Microsoft, and had good achievements successively.

The Operation of the Team

The team has been insisting on independent development since its establishment, and has been managed by undergraduates to have autonomous learning, their studies and careers taken into account at the same time. After years of development the team already has a mature operation mechanism, taking competitions, outsourcing projects and product incubations as its main work, meanwhile the attention is also focused on the development of other new technologies, thus new areas can be opened up when the time is ripe.
