Nov 20, 2020

On November 17th, the strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony between HUST and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) was held, alongside the opening ceremony for the CRRC digital talent seminar.

HUST Vice President Xiaolin Xie extended a warm welcome to all guests of CRRC coming from afar. He emphasized the importance of promoting digital economy and innovation within college-enterprise cooperative education. CRRC is one of the world's largest supplier of rail transit equipment with robust product lines and leading technologies. As a showcase for China's development, the high-speed trains manufactured by CRRC have become a jewel in the country's crown and are admired around the world. In the process of building “Double First-Class” university, HUST needs to strengthen the cooperation with innovative enterprises like CRRC in college-enterprise scientific research, talent training, industry development and training for senior management to explore new ways to yield new results.

Jun Wang, the Vice President of the CRRC, reviewed the cooperation between the two sides, including the joint establishment of the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing, alongside a co-application for national projects including four in smart manufacturing and two in intelligent robots. Many products researched and developed by HUST, such as the MES system of EPICHUST, have been applied to multiple enterprises. He said that supported by the technical advantages of HUST in cutting-edge science, digitalization and intellectualization, the strategic cooperation agreement would be an important measure to support the innovative development of CRRC and ensure the completion of its strategic goal.

At the meeting, Xie and Wang signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Baohua He, Vice Dean of the Research and Development Office of HUST, presided over the ceremony.
