The past seventy years have witnessed Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) pass the knowledge and ethos down and bear rich fruit. In October 2022, HUSTers will welcome the university’s 70th anniversary. Previously, the release of celebration documents No.1 and No.2 have received positive response and full support from our faculty and students, alumni at home and abroad, and people from all walks of life. Here we would like to express our sincere gratitude and high respect to them!

We join the grand event and plan for the future together. The 70th anniversary is a milestone in the development of HUST, a great event for all HUSTers at home and abroad to freely renew their friendship, and an important opportunity to gather strength and seek common development! On the occasion of welcoming the 20th CPC National Congress and standing at a new historical starting point, we will hold a series of online and offline activities focusing on the theme of “moving forward with the Republic, progressing into a new era”, ranging from the 70th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony, the Annual International Forum on Higher Education and University Presidents Forum, the First Global Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to the Exhibition of the University History and Academic Achievements. We warmly welcome all alumni, guests, and friends from all walks of life to actively participate in these events.

The celebration is approaching, with all of us looking forward to it fervently. On the morning of October 6, the Celebration Ceremony of HUST’s 70th Anniversary will be held at Guanggu (Optical Valley) Stadium. We sincerely invite all alumni, guests, and friends in China and around the world to take time out to come.
