On March 29, the SH3 Conference on Econometrics 2023 was successfully held at the School of Economics, Singapore Management University (SMU). The conference, co-organized by SMU, HUST and Hiroshima University, aimed to provide a platform for experts to present and discuss their specialty research in the field of econometrics. More than twenty participants attended this conference, including HUST’s associate professors Peng Bin and Zhao Zhao, as well as a postgraduate student Peng Yixuan. Peng Bin gave a presentation titled “Estimation and Inference of Constrained FAVAR Models”, which is a collaborative paper with Peng Yixuan. Zhao Zhao reported on the topic of “Political Investing of Mutual Funds”.
Since 2017, the SH3 Conference on Econometrics has been held annually to address cutting-edge issues in the field of econometrics. The conference has featured keynote speakers such as Peter Phillips from Yale University and Yu Jun from SMU. School of Economics of HUST has co-hosted the SH3 Conference on Econometrics for three consecutive years and presented reports on advanced econometric topics at the conference.
