On November 16th, the Évry Paris-Saclay delegation, led by President Vincent Bouhier, visited HUST. President You Zheng of HUST greeted the delegation and discussed the new direction of practical cooperation between the two universities. Vice President Chen Jianguo presided over the meeting.

On behalf of HUST, President You Zheng warmly welcomed the delegation. He pointed out that the University of Évry Paris-Saclay is an important partner for HUST in France. HUST values practical international cooperation and aims to promote higher education development and foster scientific and cultural exchanges between France and China through the Junshan International Campus.

President Vincent Bouhier highly affirmed the achievements of HUST in recent years and conveyed great appreciation for the long-standing practical and friendly cooperation between the two universities. He further expressed his wish for more extensive and deeper cooperation in various fields.

Liu Jianfeng, Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology of HUST, presented the history, accomplishments in talent training and future outlook of the Sino-French cooperative program. He mentioned that students participating in the project excelled in multiple competitions and the college is confident in its ability to improve the program.

Chen Yundi, an undergraduate who joined the joint education program in 2021, talked about her achievements and progress. She said that the program offered students a great opportunity to explore the frontiers of disciplines and experience different cultures.

After the meeting, President You Zheng and President Vincent Bouhier interacted with student representatives who participated in iGEM.

Laurent Cuenoud, Deputy Consul General of France in Wuhan, and representatives from HUST, also attended the meeting.

In the afternoon of the 15th, the delegation visited Junshan International Campus to observe its general layout and the progress of its construction.
