On December 6th, the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (2023), sponsored by the Ministry of Education and 11 other departments, together with the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, was held in Tianjin University. After fierce competition, HUST won 5 golds, 5 silvers and 3 bronzes, ranking first in Hubei Province for the total number of gold awards. Ma Jianhui, Vice Chair of the University Committee, and Wen Jinyu, Assistant President and Dean of the Undergraduate School, encouraged the participating teams on site.
This year, 5,296 schools from 151 countries and regions participated in the competition and a total of 4.21 million projects and 17.09 million people registered for it. 1,260 projects stood out and participated in the final contest held in Tianjin University from December 3rd to 6th.
In the Higher Education field, two projects from the School of Life Science and Technology and the School of Electronic Information and Communications won the gold award; two cooperative projects won the silver award; and one project from the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering won the bronze award.
In the Industry Proposition field, three projects from the School of Computer Science and Technology, the School of Mechanical Science and Technology, and the School of Electronic Information and Communications won the gold award. In addition, two projects won the silver and bronze awards.
In the Youth Dream Building Project field, two projects from the Second Clinical College of Tongji Medical College and the School of Life Science and Technology won the silver award. One project from the School of Mechanical Science and Technology won the bronze award.
