The First Academic Symposium on Artificial Intelligence was held at HUST’s Hopcroft Center on Computing Science from November 16 to 17. Both domestic and international experts gathered to discuss cutting-edge research findings and future trends in AI. Turing Award laureate John Hopcroft and Vice President Feng Dan delivered keynote addresses. Presenters from Cornell University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, and others explored topics such as mathematical discoveries, the deep learning theory, and weighted Nash social welfare, highlighting AI’s transformative potential in scientific research.
