On December 2, delegates from the Spanish People’s Party and universities visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) to promote bilateral cooperation in science, education, and cultural exchange.

Han Jing, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs, introduced the basic situation of HUST, the overall status of international cooperation, and the exchange and collaboration with Spanish universities and research institutions. Spain is an important part of the university's European cooperation network. This exchange is a fabulous opportunity to promote the establishment of connections with more Spanish universities, and continuously explore possibilities for cooperation in talent cultivation and research.

Francisco Montoro, a member of the People’s Party, praised the significant progress made by Chinese universities, represented by HUST, in recent years. In the next step, he will vigorously promote closer ties between relevant universities and HUST, explore more possibilities for cooperation, and make positive contributions to the education development and friendly exchanges between China and Spain.

Professor Ouyang Kang, Dean of the Institute of State Governance of HUST, delivered an academic report, introducing the Chinese path to modernization and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics.
