On December 27, President You Zheng inspected HUST International Education and Scientific Innovation Campus (Junshan Campus) and held talks with Liu Ziqing, Member of the Standing Committee of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Wuhan Economic & Development Zone (WEDZ) Working Committee. Vice President Xie Xiaolin also attended the inspection.

They inspected postgraduate dormitories, one-stop student community, public teaching and scientific research centers, scientific research buildings, canteens, and talent apartments, paying special attention to the supporting facilities and preliminary campus management plans. President You Zheng outlined requirements for the safety, functionality, and comfort in key areas, emphasizing the need to advance the final phase of construction to a high standard.

During the talks, President You Zheng highlighted that the construction of the Junshan Campus marks a major step for HUST in promoting the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent. With the campus nearing completion, he stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between HUST and WEDZ, as well as setting clear development goals to maximize the campus's potential. He also emphasized the need to follow a well-designed development layout and implement three key tasks to position the campus at the forefront of developing new quality productive forces.

Liu Ziqing emphasized that HUST Junshan Campus’s establishment in WEDZ will significantly contribute to regional economic growth, scientific and technological innovation, and talent cultivation. The two sides are committed to injecting new vitality into the region, making it an attractive destination for educators, researchers and entrepreneurs.
