On the morning of January 4th, Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki from the University of Toyama in Japan paid a visit to HUST. Vice President Chen Jianguo attended the meeting.

Chen Jianguo highly praised the academic achievements and reputation of Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki. He pointed out that HUST attaches great importance to cooperation and exchanges with Japanese universities, and sees enormous potential for cooperation between HUST and the University of Toyama in areas such as environment and medicine. In the future, we hope that with the help of Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki, both parties will enhance their mutual understanding, strengthen their friendship, explore more opportunities for development, and encourage practical cooperation and innovation across different fields through the upcoming Junshan International Campus and other platforms like the national key laboratories at HUST.

Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki spoke highly of the academic strength of HUST. He introduced the basic situation and academic characteristics of the University of Toyama, and expressed his hope to collaborate with scholars and research teams from HUST to promote scientific research and talent training.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on collaboration opportunities in joint talent training and collaborative research. After that, Chen Jianguo presented Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki with "HUST Visiting Fellow Program" certificate.

After the meeting, Professor Noritatsu Tsubaki visited the School of Environmental Science & Engineering to give a lecture titled "Exploring Low-Carbon Biosynthesis Science and Technology under the Vision of Carbon Neutrality". He also visited the School of Energy and Power Engineering and exchanged ideas with relevant professors.
