The first “East Lake Forum” International Student Academic Exchange Seminar was jointly held by the School of International Education and the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering from December 6 to 7. More than 100 international students from eight universities in Wuhan gathered to discuss China’s modernization and the era of intelligent manufacturing. Chen Rong, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, delivered the opening address. Prof. Liu Changqing, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Dr. Adham Sayed from the East Asia Research Institute at the Zhejiang Gongshang University, delivered talks. Twelve international students presented themed reports and posters. Faheem Ahmed from HUST and Samina Yousaf Abbasi from the Central China Normal University were named Best Presenters, while Anwarullah Khan from the Huazhong Agricultural University earned the first prize in the poster presentation. This seminar exemplifies the commitment to cultivating high-quality international students and contributes to the broader educational exchange.
