On March 9, the 3rd Magnolia Culture Festival & Aesthetic Education Week was held in front of Block A of the 9th East Teaching Building. Themed “Timeless Elegance: Magnolia Fragrance Permeates the Campus,” the event aims to strengthen aesthetic education across the campus and celebrate fine traditional Chinese culture. Zhang Yao, Vice Chair of the University Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
The first exhibition titled “Record of Beauty” was a vivid display of the aesthetic education outcomes HUST achieved last year. The other two exhibitions featured the roof design of ancient buildings and magnolia-inspired artworks, highlighting HUST’s achievements in moral and aesthetic education. Moreover, there were creative booths introducing Chinese lacquerware, traditional medicine, and tea culture to visitors. Amid melodious music, attendees could immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
The 3rd Magnolia Culture Festival & Aesthetic Education Week featured a series of activities, including on-site film screenings, aiming to promote aesthetic education through both online and offline channels and to carry forward traditional Chinese culture across the campus.
