EIC successfully held the 7th International Conference on Computer and Communication Systems

From April 22nd to 25th, 2022 the 7th International Conference on Computer and Communication Systems sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and organized by the School of Electronic Information and Communications (EIC) was successfully held. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held entirely online. Over 200 experts and students from China, the U.S., Canada, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, and Malaysia gathered online for in-depth discussion and academic exchange on a variety of computer and communication systems topics.

                                               


Professor Qiu Caiming, Dean of EIC, delivered the opening remark as the conference chair. He began by extending a hearty greeting to all the guests and attendees. He noted that, at this time, all sectors of society place a high value on research into the integration of communication and computing technology, which has yielded numerous achievements. ICCCS was established to serve as a communication platform for exchanging the latest technological breakthroughs and research results in the disciplines of theoretical, experimental, and applied Computer and Communication Systems. Its goal to further the development of research and technology applications in those fields. At last, he conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the audience for their patience and wonderful support in such a difficult time.



The conference primarily focused on the heated topics in computer and communication systems field such as 5G communications, big data, wireless communications, the internet of things, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Four keynote speakers and eleven invited speakers were invited to deliver speeches including Prof. Xu Shugong from Shanghai University, China, Prof. Mao Guoqing from Xidian University, China, Prof. Xu Xiaojian from Brock University, Canada, Prof. Yuan Xiaojun from the University of Electronic Science, and Technology of China and Prof. Sharul Kamal Abdul Rahim from Principals Council of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.



There were also 16 parallel sessions. More than 160 attendees presented and exchanged their ideas on 16 topics in the field of computer and communication systems, including computer network and security, 5G and future communication technology, and intelligent image analysis and processing.
