The Sixth Meeting of China-EU High-level People-to-People Dialogue was held in Beijing on March 29. Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin and European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova, attended the event. Academic achievements of the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy at HUST (ICARE) were showcased at the meeting. Prof. Luo Xiaobing, the Chinese dean of ICARE, participated in the exhibition of exemplary China-EU cooperative educational programs.

ICARE was established in March 2012, with official approval from the Ministry of Education. It is the first significant collaborative program between China and EU in the field of engineering education, jointly established by HUST and 12 other universities from China and EU, including MINES ParisTech from France. The institute has actively integrated itself into the broader landscape of Sino-European educational, scientific, and cultural exchange.
