The 30th session of the sub-commission on scientific and technological cooperation of the regular meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government, convened on Aug 27 at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).

Zhang Guangjun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, jointly chaired the meeting.

Both sides held in-depth exchanges and reached broad consensus on topics such as science and technology innovation policies, sharing major research facilities, supporting joint research projects, and cooperation under multilateral mechanisms. HUST’s Vice President Gao Liang delivered a speech on behalf of the university during the meeting.

Representatives from the Chinese side, including officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province and relevant departments of HUST, as well as representatives from the Russian side, including officials from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Embassy in China and Russian Consulate General in Wuhan, attended the meeting.
