Since September 4th, more than 500 new international students from over 120 countries of five continents have enrolled in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).
This fall semester is the first time that international freshmen complete their registration procedures offline after the pandemic. To help international students enroll and get familiar with campus life, HUST has made meticulous preparations. The School of Economics, the School of Life Science and Technology, and the School of Electronic Information and Communications held welcome meetings, mentor-selection sessions as well as experience-sharing sessions. They also had orientation courses to help international students understand Chinese policies and regulations and clarify their study goals. In addition, with an effort to help international students better adapt to campus life, the Students’ International Communication Association (SICA) organized activities such as campus tours for international students.
