HUST diver Chang Yani wins gold medal at 2024 World Aquatics Championships

On February 10th, at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships held in Doha, Qatar, Chang Yani, an undergraduate student from the School of Physical Education of HUST, won the championship in the Women's 3m Springboard Final with a score of 354.75, which is her first champion in this event. This victory marked the ninth gold medal for the Chinese Diving Team in the tournament. The Chinese Diving Team achieved a 13th consecutive championship in this event. Another Chinese contestant, Chen Yiwen, won the silver medal with a score of 336.60.


 


 


 


 


In the Women's 3m Springboard Diving Event, Chang Yani has won the bronze medal and the silver medal respectively at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary and the 2023 World Aquatics Championships held in Fukuoka, Japan. Finally in 2024, she made another breakthrough in her career and won the gold medal in this event for the first time at the World Aquatics Championships.
