Recently, Sun Yuhui, professor of the School of Pharmacy, was selected as Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Sun has long been committed to the research of the biosynthesis mechanism and synthetic biology of microbial natural products, focusing on the analysis of microbial drug biosynthesis pathways and the exploration as well as application of new editing technologies, and answering the chemical problems of drug biosynthesis from multi-disciplinary views.

Founded in 1841, the Royal Society of Chemistry is the largest chemical science group in Europe and one of the most influential authoritative academic institutions in the world. Every year, the Society selects researchers from around the world who have made outstanding achievements in the field of chemistry and who have facilitated its interdisciplinary development. The academic honor of becoming a FRSC is bestowed upon selected researchers and indicates high recognition from international peers.
