From October 12 to 15, the finals of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC) 2024 were held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The teams from HUST delivered outstanding performances once again, securing a total of 7 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze awards. In addition, an international project recommended by HUST won a silver award. Among the gold award winners, three teams took first place in their respective group competitions. Two projects, ETop - World-leading Software Platform for Innovative Structural Optimization Design and Hi Motor: Pioneer in Domestic Permanent Magnet Motor Design Software, advanced to the national top-four final, competing against 40 other projects.
CICSIC 2024, under the theme, “Dare to Differ, Dare to win,” encourages students to apply professional knowledge to innovative practice. It fosteres an innovative spirit across disciplines and aims to become a global stage, attracting significant attention from young students worldwide. This year, a total of 5.14 million projects from 20.836 million students across 5,406 universities and colleges in 153 countries and regions registered for the competition, with 1,410 projects making it to the finals. Eleven teams from HUST successfully advanced to the final round.
