From Oct 12 to 15, the 2025 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition concluded with a spectacular finale. Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) teams stood out among 6.19 million projects from 5,673 universities across 161 countries and regions, winning five gold, five silver, and three bronze awards. HUST achieved the highest number of gold awards in Hubei province. The undergraduate entrepreneurship gold award project titled Pioneer in Developing the Cerebellum for General-Purpose Robots has advanced to the national gold award ranking contest, marking HUST’s best performance in the competition’s history.

The competition, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and 10 other departments alongside the Henan Provincial People’s Government, and hosted by Zhengzhou University and the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, attracted 24.43 million participants this year. A total of 4,720 projects reached the finals, including 13 teams from HUST, demonstrating the university’s strong innovation capacity and global competitiveness.
