The student achievement showcase and closing ceremony of the 2026 ODOS Summer Camp, which was hosted by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency of Thailand (DEPA Thailand) and organized by the School of Software Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), was held on April 30. The event was presided over by the school’s Professor Shen Gang.

During the achievement showcase, six student groups presented their learning outcomes, covering courses such as AI, data science, and robotics, as well as experiences in traditional Chinese culture and corporate visits. A student representative gave a specialized report on the “Embedded Intelligent Devices” course, demonstrating key skills such as programming control, sensor application, and smart small vehicle development.

At the closing ceremony, faculty and students watched a recap video of the summer camp as the school presented completion certificates to the participants. Chen Rong, Dean of the School of International Education; Nuttawut Morakot, Director for digital agriculture development of DEPA Thailand; and Wang Shixian, Chair of the School Committee, School of Software Engineering, each delivered speeches, affirming the summer camp’s success and expressing hopes for deeper collaboration between China and Thailand. Representatives from the School of International Education introduced HUST's student mobility policies and encouraged participants to serve as bridges for Sino-Thai exchange.

ODOS is a strategic education program initiated by the Thai government that aims to select outstanding young individuals to study and exchange ideas in nine countries, including China and the United States. This summer camp marks the second time the School of Software Engineering has organized the program. Spanning six weeks, the camp offered six advanced technology courses while integrating experiences in Chinese culture, corporate visits, and cultural tourism activities. These efforts have enriched participants' professional skills and enhanced their cross-cultural communication abilities.
