An art troupe from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) traveled to Finland, Sweden, and Norway from April 10 to 19 to present performances of Chinese folk music and dance as part of the 2026 International Chinese Language Day tour, organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation affiliated with the Ministry of Education.

The tour featured three main performances at Aalto University, Uppsala Music School, and the University of Bergen’s Faculty of Fine Art, Music, and Design. The program included classical dance, folk music solos, and group dances, with local university leaders praising the performers and commending them for showcasing the unique charm of traditional Chinese art.

The troupe conducted five interactive activities during the tour, including teaching demonstrations, impromptu collaborations with local musicians, and campus folk music showcases.

They also visited institutions such as the Finnish National Agency for Education and the Finnish National Gallery, engaging in discussions about Nordic education and cultural promotion practices.

The team was composed of professional faculty and students from the School of Arts, along with student representatives from other schools' art troupes. HUST has organized multiple art exchange tours in recent years to countries such as New Zealand, Australia, and Brazil, contributing to the international promotion of Chinese culture and the global dissemination of International Chinese Language Day.
